Hola!
These last couple weeks I have been really trying to focus on seeing the Lord's hand every day. And guys. Let me tell ya. When we can recognize that he really is there for us every step of the way, we will be able to see miracles.
Sooo on Thursday my companion got sick haha and so I carried the team. At night, we usually would call all our amigos to make sure they are reading the Book of Mormon, praying ( y blah blah). So when it came to our last friend Jean, I made sure I was completely prepared. Jean is an investigator we have been teaching for months and he ALWAYS has intelligent questions. So haha before I called him, I made sure to find my preach my gospel, the bible, the Book of mormon ( in english and spanish) and I thought about saying a prayer haha but I did not have time to.
So I am on the phone with him and the first question he asks is......... Can you tell me the story of Job in the bible? LIKE WHAT THEEE: haha I told him that I could not explain it to him because I simply did not know the vocab ( but really lol I could not remember the story of Job ) So lol second question. Who is your favorite prophet in the bible? haha yeahhhh Do you know when the last time I read the old testament was? haha soo luckily my preach my gospel was out in front of me and there was a picture of moses. I started making up a story about how he was my favorite and when I was done speaking he said que bonito ( how beautiful) jaja so I think I did alright!
Also, last night we had another cita with Jean. And let me tell ya this guy has been coming to church, reading his scriptures and praying consistently for the past 3 months. But he would not for the life of us accept a baptismal date. Hermana Anderson and I were stumped. So for the lesson we literally handed him our agenda so he could see the baptismal questions. We read each one together, and to each Jean responded with flying colors. When we were done we told him there were really no more surprises and we felt that he was ready for baptism. After twelve long seconds, he said (tiene razon) you're right! He accepted a baptismal date for the 29th! AHHHHHHH SOOOOO EXCITED
