Two Things To Help Build Your Testimony

Buenas Tardes!

These past two weeks have def. been a roller coaster of ups and downs. Our friend Jose Enrique who had a baptism date called us last week and oddly just wanted to talk to me. In that phone call he asked me if I could be his girlfriend and haha yeah that is where it kind of went downhill. After I told him no, he then proceeded to tell me that he would follow through with his baptism date if I changed my answer haha and for a hot minute I thought about it. But my final answer was no and with that he ended the call.

But yeah, these past two weeks I have felt useless. Sometimes it felt like I put in my all, only to receive exhaustion and frustration as my reward. During the lessons I can teach to a point, but there are times where I get lost in the conversation and look to my companion in pure panic when it is my turn for ping pong. Haha and in this process I have felt like I have become the person who does absolutely nothing in group projects. And I feel terrible because you can tell how much these people respect the missionaries and how willing they are to listen to us. And even with this tag, I have felt like I still can't be who I would like.

However, last Friday we had the opportunity to go to the temple and it was such a nice break from the missionary work and from the feelings of insufficiency. I don't know why, but every time you can enter into the house of the Lord, there is a feeling of peace almost like it could be your home. This feeling AHHH is a gift we all have if we choose to accept the gospel I know that the temple really can bring so many blessings - which may be small - but could be perfect for what you need!

Another highlight of this week is the upcoming baptism of our amigo, Piero! He accepted a baptism date for the 18th of January. He is a little bit nervous, but he told us that he feels happy with this decision to move forward with the gospel.

One more thing!! Please do not forget to read the Book of Mormon and to pray daily. I KNOW THAT THESE TWO THINGS CAN HELP BUILD YOUR TESTIMONY. Yes, you probably have heard them your whole life, but when you can start to apply the small things you can not help but grow your testimony. I know the book of mormon is true and it truly has the power to change your life if you allow it to do so. The Lord already has given us so many blessings, all we need to do is look for them.
